Midnight Fog
Inspired by The World by Henry Vaughan
I wrote a poem composed of
midnight fog and saw eternity
beneath the moonlight
of your text.
the Hunger Games are real
so why pretend the coffee
kept us dancing, calm and
bright, for endless hours?

Shadow Torture
shadow torture hung on cords
setting with the sun, like jealousy –
branches are the choices made
ruptured, bursting shattered limbs
synthesize flush notions
of an unchaste thrill.

Naked Starlight
dressed in rags of dark
consuming naked starlight
storms torment the sky.
ravens sing of death
an old bliss flirting its way
through the summer heat.
as limbs eclipse flames
turning wild in their heat
night will burn away.
