Ben is an author of gnomes, plays, poetry and more. He was first published in his college publications the Cornfield Review and KAPOW. Since then he has been featured in several online literary journals. As a founding member, he helped start the Quillective Project with Amber Norrgard, Scott Morgan and Rob Zimmermann. Their goal is raise money for different causes with an annual anthology. In past years they sponsored a no-kill animal shelter called Dog and Kitty City in the Dallas Texas area. Ben has recorded several episodes of a podcast on poetry (Lyrical Versification) with his cohost, Amber Jerome~Norrgard. Listen in on iTunes or Stitcher Radio. Journey

~

Leanne heard them lecture

her on what it meant to be a

strong woman. But she felt

strong handcuffed to the bed….

~

Waiting for jail,

or more interrogations…

~

she saw flashes

of the Firebird she crashed

into the lake

~

because he said he loved it

more than her.

~

Now, it seemed so

juvenile…

~

he was never worth

a moment (or fake

orgasm)

~

she pleased herself

before the lights came on

and it was almost enough

to forget –

her child.

~

he could go to hell for

all she cared

but Journey was

a loss

clawing at her throat

each morning-
