Absence of Light

My ghost story poem on Pedestal Poetry!

Pedestal

I count mile markers

on the highway as the night

grows darker.

And nothing is quite

starker

than the absence of light

by a parked car,

except for white,

fixed stars.

I see a ghost. A wight.

Force-Fed

Check out my poem published on Pedestal Poetry.

Pedestal

Asylum seekers

are starving

themselves

because they dare

to be the opposite

of “progress”.

As a barrier divides

further what was stolen

in a drunken rage

of conquest,

we see nasogastric

intubation and don’t

dot the “i”.
