My friend Cathy gave me a can of Moxie soda today (which tastes delicious), so I thought I would write another poem using the word in her honor. Also, thanks to Melissa Craig for letting me use one of her breathtaking photographs.

autumn collapses

into dawn, a heavy heart

and I can no longer feel

precarious flush skin

or shallow moxie.
